What are some cardio exercises i can do with a torn ACL?

I wanna keep doing my cardiovascular exercising but I cant’ run or use the stair stepper anymore because of my torn ACL. What are some good cardiovascular exercises to get my heart rate up?

You know the exercise bikes with the arms? Only do the arm part. Do your weight machines with light weights and high reps and little rest in between. How about bouncing a ball off the wall at shoulder or above height for 10-15 minutes. Or you could play catch with a medicine ball with a willing friend. Get a video for chair aerobics. Be creative...these suggestions should open up your mind for other creative ways to increase your heart rate. Have fun, Mya

Why don't you talk to your doctor (or PT) about doing some aquatic exercises? If you have access to a swimming pool, that would be a definite option for you.

Okay you need to make sure you workout each day using a AB roller and you don’t need a strict diet really but it depends if your over weight if you are then its going to be hard ABS take time to develope each day you need to burn fat I suggest using a ab roller 2 times a day 10 minuets each and running and lift weights and just keep it up for months and you will see abs by summer if u really work at it.

Well, I would do alot of Cardio.. Every morning for 10 minuted do a little running or biking.. Don’t go on a very strict diet just stay off of foods like.. starch and pop and candy and chips.. GOOD LUCK

ok I’m a dancer and in a few months I have to wear this costume thats a pretty tight shirt sorta like a belly shirt too and I don’t have a good stomach do u have any good advice for me???
