fracture
I have a fracture of tthe 5th metatarsal from an injury sustained participating in basketball.
The actual injury occured when my foot was rolled inward.
At first I thought that I had broken my ankle, after x-rays it was determined that I had in fact fractured the foot.
Later, fragments were discovered, actually 5 of them.
It has been well over 4 1/2 months since the injury and my physician had reported that there has only been union with 2 of the fragments and that its as healed as it’s going to get.
Is this true?

I'm sorry you are in this predicament. It is difficult to say what the expected outcome of your problem is since I do not have your X-rays. You doctor is your best source of information. Ask about possibly using a bone stimulator. Good luck.
