L Cuboid pain
(2 discussions)
My 13 y/o son broke his L cuboid last Jan. It was orginally thought to be RSD. He had lumber spinal block with no success. He is in pain 99% of the time. Have any suggestions? He is stillunder treatment, with not much help.
Thanks,

I might suggest a CT scan or MRI to get further information. The cuboid has a groove underneath it for the Peroneus longus tendon. There may be a problem there, I can not be sure. I am not an expert in RSD, but I am not aware of a 13 y.o. getting it. Why was this considered? How has he been treated for this?

Thank you for the information. An MRI has been ordered and is waiting insurance authorization. He has been treated for this since last jan. He orginially broke his foot by a fall in the kitchen. He did an inversion and problems developed after 6-8 weeks after cast was removed. Please keep me posted with any ideas…..
