Fulkersons Osteotomy Knee Surgery

(5 discussions)

“Fulkersons Osteotomy Knee Surgery”, or anterior mobilization of the tibial tubercle knee surgery, there are many other names for this. I just had this done on my left knee on Thursday 8/30. I am a 32 year old female with a 20 year history of “knee problems”. I have had 3 surgeries on my right and now 2 on my left. I had a lateral release on May 8th that just didn’t “work”, as I dislocated 2x since that date. Thus the more aggressive surgery.Anyone out there with advice??

Cracked heel

On one of my heels, there’s a crack in the skin that won’t go away. It’s sometimes very painful, and is hard to walk on. I have tried various things to get rid of it, from butterfly bandages, to sleeping with lotion and socks on. The pain will go away for a week or to max, but always comes back. You can always see the crack though. Any suggestions how to get rid of the nasty thing?

I am 58 year old male with severe joint pain in my left great toe (6+ years).
I have been researching the surgical options since all else has failed.
My question is would amputation of the toe result in larger problems (balance, pain, etc) than joint replacement or other corrective surgery?
