swollen toes

This is the 2nd time within 2 months that I have had problems with my toes.
I have never had problems before.
The first time I thought it was athletes foot and treated it with cream.
It took a few weeks to go away.
This time it’s back, red bumps on a few toes that hurt and are itchy.
The thing is my toe next to the little one is really swollen and hurts to touch.
I’ve now been treating my toes for over 2 weeks and nothing has changed.
Like I said, I’ve never had problems and nothing has changed i.e shoes, socks….Any ideas?
Gout?

torn off Toenail

(2 discussions)

My big toenail tore off in a freak accident with my son’s shoe.
The nail was perpendicular to my toe, my husband pressed the nail down and taped it up.
A day later I took the bandaid off and saw the grotesque cut in my skin where the bottom of the nail had broken through.
I’ve been soaking in Epsom salts, then using hydrogen peroxide and neosporin.
I won’t be able to see a doctor until next week because of the holiday and the yellow, broken skin is freaking me out.
Any suggestions>Thanks,Mari

groin pain

(3 discussions)

For the past few years I have had pain that comes and go’s especially when I put lot of pressure in the the groinal area. The pain was suddenly very severe this last year in basketball. Making It so if after a little while of running I would have to limp or sit down because of the pain mainly in my right crotch/pubic area. My doctor said it might be symptoms for a hernia but I think it’s a muscle strain. After a little while it went away but occasionally it keeps coming back making it hard to fully be envolved in basketball. Do you know of any exercises I could do to restrengthen it or do you have a different opinion. Thanks

Instep Pain

I have terrible pain in my right instep, which radiates to the ball of my foot, and in between my big toe and 2nd toe.
I DO walk on concrete and tile floors for seven hours a day, Mon – Fri., but the pain continues through the weekend also.
I’ve even begun to limp from it.
I know you can’t make a formal diagnosis over the computer, but what does it sound like, and what products can I use to relieve the pain until I can see a podiatrist?
I’d appreciate your help.

Left side of left foot pain

I started walking again after I had stopped for a while and as I began my walk yesterday the left side of my left foot had a sharp pain.
I continued to walk and when I got home I noticed that I could barely put pressure on the foot at all.
I went to work which is of course standing and limped around and tried to put my weight on my other foot.
When I got up this morning it was hurting more than yesterday.
Should I walk it out or try not to put weight on it.
I have a lot of walking to do today at school.

My athletes foot have become more severe could it be due to long wearing of working boots for some time ( I used to wear Timberland boots at work and at home all day). Would it help if I change to wear some more ventilated sneakers while at home and on holidays?
