5th metetarsal stress fracture

I have a 5th metetarsal stress fracture. The first Dr. I saw told me that it required surgery and refered me to the surgen. The surgen does not want to do surgery, he wants it to heal on its own. It happened on Oct28th 2015 and it still swells, hurts and turns a purpleish color on my toes. Should I get another surgical opp.? Also what can I do to keep my good foot from hurting. I feel like I am starting to get the same pain in it that I had before I broke the other foot?

extreme pain moving from foot to foot !

I’ve experienced the following problems on and off over the last few months.
It started off as extreme pain on the top of my left foot running parallel from my 4th smallest toe back to the start of my heel, making it very difficult to walk on.
Some ibruprofen and lot of massage in the affected area ( which was painful) eased it off. Then on and off weekly I had episodes of this recurring plus the same pain under the arches of the my left and right feet. Again massage, rest and time was the only relief. I used to get a golf ball and roll the arch of my foot over it. Although this was painful it loosened off the tension.
It’s been capped off by me waking up today with the same pain now in the back of my right heel, which makes it sore to place my foot on the ground! It feels like a muscular or ligament problem, but I don’t understand why it keeps moving from foot to foot or keeps recurring?

Serious Question

I know this kid who plays football. Everytime he moves real fast his body freezes up and he become like retarded for about 5 seconds and then back to normal.
I saw him in the football games and it doesn’t’ do it then.
He says he don’t know why, but he don’t know what he should do. It only happens around the house or out somewhere else.
What do you’ll think.

Foot drop question

I was involved in a horse riding accident on March 2, 2014.
I broke my pelvis in two places and now and suffering from foot drop.
It was really bad, but the brace is really helping it alo.
I just would like to know what are the signs that the nerve is healing?
Sometimes I get a burning sensation, or sharp pains in my toes or on the bottom of my foot.
Sometimes at night I get a weird feeling I can’t explain and I just have to crunch my toes.
Is this a sign that it’s healing?
I am just so tired of wearing this brace day and night.
Not that I can put any weight on the leg yet, but it’s hard to get any kind of confortable.
