Pain in lower calf and hip

Earlier this year I ended up having PT on my hamstring but never had an MRI or X-Ray. I could only get 26 degrees of elevation. After PT my flexibility was back to where it was before the PT but the pain in my calf really didn’t go away. It is in the lower half of the calf and is quite sore if pushed a bit. It doesn’t bother me as much if I am constantly walking but stop and go walking really puts me in pain. Now on top of all this my hip is bothering me a bit. In particular when I am swinging a bat or golf club. I never figured out what I did to my hamstring and I can’t get the pain out of my calf. So three questions:
1. I got bumped by a car about 7 years ago. All that happened is I was walking and a car buckled me and the pain the next day was in my leg I am having problems with now. Could that incident have anything to do with the pain I am having now?

2. If I do weightlifting will that help it out by strengthening the muscles?

3. Is this a pain I should pay close attention to and take it to the doctor if it gets any worse or just keep stretching and exercising and eventually it will go away?
