Rehabilitation after medial meniscus tear – has it torn again?

I tore the medial meniscus in my right knee back in Feb this year. In July I had an arthroscopy (following an MRI)but nothing was done as the surgeon said he couldn’t find the tear. This was not the case as I had to have another operation (following another MRI ) about a month ago. Was told about 20% of the meniscus was taken away and should all be OK. However, up until the other day it seemed to be healing OK (eg swelling going down and no pain) but I felt a pinching pain (the same type of pain I had pre-op) and the knee seems to have swollen again. I’m desperately hoping it’s not torn again. Had anyone got experience of this or advice?
