right arm upper bicep bilateral tendon tear

I had an shoulder operation in the month of october for a mild rotor cuff tear, after surgery I still had pain in the bicep and shoulder,on or about the 17th of january, I Had a 2nd shot of cortisone in back of shoulder to help with the increasing pain that was occuring in the back part of my shoulder, a couple days later I threw some crackers to feed the birds and I felt a snap in my arm, this is when I tore tendon away from inner shoulder, I am having muscle spasms in the back of my shoulder that are driving me crazy, although I have noticed less pain in the bicep area . I was told from two local doctors that I should not get the operation to repair torn tendon, I was told that the pain that I am having are not related to the torn tendon. I would like to know your opinion and any suggestions, thank you harry

Knee Pain

I have been diagnosed with Chondramalacia of the right knee.
It has been four months.
I did therapy for one month, then stopped per Dr. for two months, and recently went back for the past three weeks.
I have been told by the Dr.s there is nothing they can do.
I am in constant pain, and swelling, even when at rest. Will this get better, and what options do I have? Thanks

Achilles Tendon

On Thursday 2/21/02 I was playing raquetball, when I lunged to go after a ball something popped in my leg.
I could hardly get out get out of the Y by myself.
Went to an immediate care the next morning, was told I pulled a muscle I didn’t even need, to ice it for 3 days and heat for 2 and take Ibuprofen 3-4x a day.
Then Wednesday night after working all day and teaching youth group at night I was very swollen and bruises were appearing on my leg and ankle area.
So I made an appointment w/my Dr yesterday 2/28/02 and she couldn’t believe it. Apparently a blood clot is forming and I have torn my Achilles Tendon.
She said our first step is to get the swelling down and dissolve the clot that is forming.
Monday possible MRI and then sent to an orthopedic Dr. Does this sound like the right route to take at this time? From what I am reading looks like surgery is the only option w/a long recovery period to follow.
Thanks for your help! Kim

Achilles

I am a 37 year old male who was playing in my second soccer game of the day. Ususally, I would play just one.
I was starting on a sprint towards the ball and something popped above my heel but below my calf.
I assume this was my achillies.
I definitely felt it snap, but I am still able to walk with some occasional discomfort.
What is the best treatment for this and approximately how long will I be out? Thanks,Brad

Can anyone help or give advice for my achilies????

Im a 17yr old girl from England who Dances 5dayz a week. 3wks ago, I had a sharp pain in the back of my right heel and wonder what I had done to it. My dance teacher(s) has said to me that I have done my achilies tendons in and that I should take it easy. my heal began givin me sharp excursiating (xcuse m3 spellin) pain and got to the stage where I was in tears and was unable to walk properly. I have been to a Physiotherapist and I had various techniques to help speed up the process. Personally I don’t think it has done me any justice but I was reading that riding a BIKE helps to strecth out the tendon which has help me abit and has made my walking alot easier. As im a Ballet Dancer, I haven’t danced for 3/4wks and I’m desperate to go back but can’t risk damagin it anymore. I was wondering if anyone had any useful techniques or information that might help speed up the process of my injury adn get me dancing on my toes agin. PLEASE REPLY SOON.
