Pain in area of right scapula with numbness radiating into right arm
I recently began strength training with a resistance type machine. A few weeks after I started I noticed a pain in the area of the inside of the upper right scapula. A numbing sensation now radiates down my right arm. My right arm feels weak, especially when I try to do triceps kickbacks and chest press and chest flies. What kind of injury could I have sustained. My initial thought is a pinched nerve.
I also have noticed nearly continuous muscle twitching in my right lat, triceps, and pectoral muscles.

Definitely sounds like a nerve problem – take it seriously, you can’t afford to play around with nerve injuries! (see my posts under Back and leg injuries)
