Clavicle pain

(2 discussions)

I have been doing Iyengar yoga for 7 years to help with degenerative disk disease and arthritis in lower back–it has done wonders(I can do backbends and twists etc.). Recently I was diagnosed with the same problem in my neck and am currently having physical therapy. However, for 6 months I’ve been experiencing chronic (and sometimes acute) pain in my right clavicle, close to the sternum. There is definately a difference in appearence (it juts out further and is larger) between the right and left S/C joints. The pain is much worse after neck therapy. Since the x-ray of the clavicle showed no breakages the doctors seem to be ignoring it and treating it as part of the neck problem, but I feel it is unrelated. Obviously I stopped doing head stands once my neck began bothering me. Since one has to press down very hard with the forearms and elbows to help keep the pressure off the head and neck, I’m wondering if this posture over the years may have resulted in a slight dislocation or injury to the S/C joint–or is this just plain old arthritis at work(I’m 62!). Thank you–any input will be appreciatedDiana

How many orthotics are made by chiropractors? I was told by one Chiropractor that 60-65% of orthotics come from them. Is this true? Thank you for any information you can give me.

spots on bottom of foot

(2 discussions)

It started out with just a couple of little spots, pin head sized, on the bottom of my foot.
They itched like crazy.
Now there are 23-25, some connected.
They are clear and go inward (like blisters only on the inside) they itch and hurt if pressure in applied.
Any idea what this could be.
It’s only on one foot.

foot drop diagnosis

(3 discussions)

My grown daughter has had foot drop for 11 months and it has gotten worse over time. PT and many specialists and EMGs, MRIs, CTs, bloodwork, Myleogram/Spinal Tap, all are inconclusive as to its cause. They say it isn’t coming from the back, but she says it feels like it is. 4 Neuros and 1 n-surgeon have no clue. Ortho doesn’t either. Her PT has tried everything he knows. IS there any PTherapy she can try that is specifically for foot drop, from someone with experience in it?? Desparate. [email protected]
