Post-op Rehabilitation

I am to begin rehabilitation tomorrow four weeks post-op after bunion surgery.
Has anyone on the board gone through this and give me some idea as to what to expect. Is it painful during the rehab, or more so after the manipulation and exercise.
Should I take something prior and after the visit (ie: Extra-strength Tylenol, etc.).
Thanks for any info.

Soccer instep impact injury

Hi!
Around 11 days ago I was playing soccer indoors.
I went to kick the ball (hard) and an opposing player stuck his foot in to clear the ball.
I ended up kicking the heel of his foot with the instep/big toe area of my foot.
The pain was fairly intense, and I could barely walk from the pain, so I went to get an x-ray the following day. They were negative, the doc said I must have a bone bruise and that I should be fine in about a week.
Well, I’m far from fine.
I can walk, but not without pain.
It seems to be eminating from the ball/instep of my foot, the only time I don’t feel pain is when my feet are up and I’m lying down.
Problem is, I work long hours (in a chair thankfully) so I can’t afford to put my feet up for long.
What can I do to speed up my rehab?
I can’t find any info online for this type of injury.
Are there braces/wraps available for this?
Would they help? Also, playoffs are coming in 2 weeks and I’d like to play!
Thanks!Steven

Gout Diagnosis

While my family dr. has already diagnosed my toe as gout, I’d like any other theories before I get a second opinion.
Here are the symptoms.
My foot rarely hurts when I do not have shoes on, however, when I wear shoes that press on the tops of my foot (or when I tie them tightly), I typically am in so much pain I am ready to scream.
Sometimes I can barely remove my show because of the excessive pain. Once I remove the shoe, I have no pain whatsoever.
This sounds contrary to the way gout usually works.
I never have bouts where it lasts for hours.
It hurts each and every time I put on certain pairs of shoes.
Does this sound like gout or not?
