Lump on foot

Hey,I’ve had pain in my foot for the past few years and there’s a definite lump at the side of my foot about where I think the base of 5th metatarsal is. It’s not very large but the side of my foot is discoloured and warm. It really sticks out when I spread my toes out. Although I guess the fact that I can do that must mean it is nothing serious, right? Any ideas what it could be please let me know. I’m having a lot of trouble getting shoes that don’t press on it.
Thanks a lot

Fractured scaphoid Surgery??

I fractured my scaphoid 4 mounths ago however due to the fact that the doctor said it was not broken just sprained it has only just been diagnosed. I play soccer (goalie) to a fairly high standard and I participate in a lot of sport which involves the use of my wrist. I have not had any treatment for my wrist as I have been told the fracture is a non union, and can only be fixed with surgery. Is there anyone who has had surgery on a non union scaphoid fracture and whats the prognosis, will I be able to play at the same level. Secondly if I don’t have the surgery I am aware that I will get arthritus in the wrist, do any one know how long this will take to become symptomatic.

ripped my toenail

(3 discussions)

I hit my toe today, and the nail seperated from the nail bed.
I had an RN friend bandage it, and she said right now, it doesn’t look like it needs to be taken completely off. She said if it starts to turn black then she can lance it to let the blood drain.
She also said there’s a chance that it will re-attach. How long before I can tell if it’s going to re-attach?
I’m getting married in 78 days, and I want to be able to be comfortable in the shoes. If I do end up having to cut it off, how long before it grows back? Can I do anything to make it grow faster?

Is my Chiropractor adjusting me properly

HiI have recently been under the care of a Chiropractor with problems mainly in my SI joint and also some neck probs. My question is: How do I know if my Chiropractor is good or not. I have had Chiropractic care for years and this is a fairly new DR. When he does adjustments on my back with me on my side, bottom leg straight and top leg bent, I don’t seem to feel like anything is moving as I have in previous adjustments from another DR. Also when I have an adjustment I have been in pain for a few days following the adjustment. As I said I am being treated for SI joint probs and I have been recently having some symptoms in my genitals that I am wondering if they are related to my adjustments and if he is causing me some damage as opposed to helping me. Have you heard of this before, should I seek out a different Chiropractor? Please help I am worried that he is not adjusting me properly!!!
