What ab exercises can I do with back problems?
(3 discussions)
Hey there, I just had a quick exercise-related question and I would be incredibly appreciative if you could help me out. Are there any abdominal or ab exercises that are deemed “safe” for someone with a severly herniated lower back? Specifically, I have a herniation at L3 and L4, and a slight rupture at my L5, and am trying yoga as a last resort to spinal fusion. I am an ardent fan of working my core and obliques, but have no idea if any exercise would be safe to attempt with my current back problem. If it helps, I can now walk normally, but cannot run and I only bend using my knees.Clueless in Florida
