Foot pain

I have a reoccuring pain on the bottom of my right foot towards the inside edge. It happend from running on hard ground with metal spikes on my rugby boots. It will be OK for a little but with walking and any exercising it swells and pain comes back. Hopefully someone can explain this.

Sounds like classic plantar fasciitis, which is an inflammation along outer muscular layer to the bottom of the foot. Proper stretching, arch supports and antiinflammatories will help. Also, taping the bottom of the foot with a classic low-dye strap may also be of benefit. If the pain persists, see your podiatrist.
