just sensitive?
(2 discussions)
Had pain along 5th metatarsal for 9 months now, bone and MRI showed nothing along with x rays. Getting really frustrated cos physio basically said it was me being oversensitive but i’ve broken things before and not had probs. Should I persist or just get used to pain and ‘live my life’ as she suggested?
Thanks and by the way I think you do a fantastic job considering you can’t see our feet!

There certainly could be a biomechanical reason that you are hurting. Another idea could be a sural nerve entrapment. Neither a bone scan or MRI would show either. Depending where you hurt on the 5th met, the base holds the insertion of the peroneus brevis tendon. There could be a problem with it. The cuboid could be a potential source of trouble also. These are some of the thoughts I would have but a further examination would be most helpful.P.S. Thank you for your kind words. Some folks really expect a miracle with little information- and for free too!
