Wrist Injury

Hi all!

Ive had this wrist injury for about 2 years now where i get a nasty pain in the top of my left wrist when I bend it backwards after I have done an exercise where the wrist isnt fully straight such as a heavy benchpress exercise, or rough mountain biking.
The pain isnt always there, its just returned to me now after about 8 months without any pain.
This makes it impossible for me to do press-ups as my wrist either feels weak or I get pain.
I dont think my left wrist is that healthy to be honest, i can feel it grinding slightly when I move it back and forth.

People at my gym have suggested resting my wrist, and when its better, try wrist strengthening exercises and buying a wrist support.

I just want to know what you lot think is wrong with my wrist and what I should do about it.

    do you remember any type of wrist injury 2 years ago when the pain started which you thought may have just been a sprain. I get similar pain in my wrist from an injury which i thought was a sprain, but turned out to be a fractured scaphoid. If i were you i would visit your doc and try an get an x ray done!
