Foot Pain

(2 discussions)

I hae been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both my big toe joints.
I have had two surgeries, one of wich was joint replacement in the metarsal joint.
I still am suffering with pain.
My doctors say I still have pain because I have arthritis in the tendons etc.
Not only do I seem to have the same pain in that toe, but the upper joint of that toe hurts and the ball of my foot.
I am not told to get shoe inserts.
I am very frustrated, unable to wear shoes, etc. in constant pain. I take vioxx but it really doesn’t help.
Any suggestions?

Since I don’t have all the facts, it is difficult to give an opinion. You might want to get another opinion. You might benefit from custom orthotics, but that needs to be evaluated.
